Villedge Restaurant Manager 

Description

Fiscal performance of the restaurant as well as Manage and supervise 'training of all staff including Wait staff, Room Service Attendants, Bartenders, and Hostesses in all food and service-related activities and responsibilities. Supervision of back of the house including Villedge Chef and all other back of the house positions. Responsible for delivering exceptional experiences for guests as well as maintaining efficient operation to control cost of goods sold, other expenses and labor.

Essential Duties & Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual budgets for each department of the Restaurant and drive revenue through all outlets of the restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Bar, and private parties
  • Hiring, Training, Evaluating, counseling, & Termination of Staff
  • Weekly scheduling and coordination the efforts for business needs
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving labor, beverage, and food cost referenced to budget
  • Have Monthly Performance and Goal meetings with FOH as well as BOH Staff.
  • Maintain adequate FF&E inventories of small wears and major equipment needs

The Restaurant General Manager also is responsible for monitoring the performance of the restaurant through analysis of guest feedback and financial results. Responsible for maintaining and enforcing procedures to (1) ensure the security and proper storage of inventory and equipment (2) ensure the security of monies, credit, and financial transactions, (3) to minimize waste and control costs.

The restaurant general manager is also responsible to ensure that all restaurant equipment is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis. Ensure that all restaurant facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, Implement, & Monitor all sales promotions within the Restaurant
  • Administer progressive discipline with Managers in accordance with company policy
  • Respond to all guest requests or complaints in a timely manner and F&B managers to keep them informed.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of loss prevention
  • Know and maintain safety and sanitation standards to provide guests with a safe environment
  • Ensure compliance with local and state liquor laws
  • Promote timely training of all new hires with local and state liquor laws through the Pitt County ABC
  • Be visible and interact with guests and team members to provide a consistently high level of guest service
  • Administrative duties such as scheduling and payroll
  • Understand procedure for month end inventory, maintenance of the perpetual inventory logbook, and bar par levels.
  • Conduct and attend all meetings as required
  • Ensure all guests are greeted upon arrival. Respond appropriately to guest issues and inform management in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining and enforcing procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
 
Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

Qualifications include a four-year college degree or advances food and beverage experience to include a minimum of one to three years as a food and beverage manager in an upscale, high volume environment. Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Office. Experience in cash handling skills, experience in purchasing and distribution of alcohol in volume.
