Description

Social Work p.r.n. has several openings for a Substance Abuse Counselor/Therapist with a Missouri LCSW or LMSW (provisional) and CRADC (Certified Reciprocal Alcohol & Drug Counselor). These are full-time temp-to-perm or permanent positions with competitive salary and benefits.

The Substance Abuse Counselor interacts regularly with treatment team members and other treatment providers to ensure quality care to the individuals being served. The clinicians may also provide crisis intervention, case management, wellness planning and assessments. Clients include individuals across the age spectrum.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Provides therapy/counseling services to the assigned caseload of clients including individual and family therapy as appropriate.

  • Provides group therapy and/or group education as assigned.

  • Completes all necessary documentation as defined by program, agency and DMH/Medicaid standards in a timely fashion.

  • Ensures that wellness plans and any clinically appropriate reviews are completed for all assigned clients

  • Provides clinical services using evidenced based practices.

  • Serves as a vital multi-disciplinary treatment team member and participates in all meetings pertaining to their clinical caseload.

  • Assesses clients for potential risk and ensures appropriate documentation and communication with the treatment team per risk management protocol.

  • Completes initial assessments and all other necessary and required documentation for clients entering services

 
Position Requirements
  • Candidates must possess a MSW from a CSWE accredited social work program and a current Missouri LCSW license or LMSW provisional licensed (under current clinical supervision). Additionally, candidates must have or be eligible for the MO CRADC CRADC (Certified Reciprocal Alcohol & Drug Counselor).

  • A minimum of 2 years substance abuse counseling experience is preferred.
