Job Purpose:

L7 is an innovator in life sciences software and we are looking for a Director of Talent and Culture that embodies the same love of agility, innovation, and impact. The primary focus for this role will be the development and execution of our Talent and Culture strategy to establish L7 as a world class talent attraction and retention organization. You will be responsible for the ongoing effort to build a strong talent acquisition pipeline while at the same time enhancing our own culture to make it a great place to work. This person will need a sharp eye for talent, a commitment to help them find success in our company and a passion for building a culture of collaboration to help them achieve. The Director of Talent Acquisition and Diversity & Inclusion will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing innovative, creative, high-impact talent development, recruiting and retention strategies that enable outstanding organizational performance across the organization.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to ensure tools and programs are in place to achieve talent and culture initiatives.
  • Leading the ongoing effort to discover talent, building a strong talent acquisition culture, managing day to day tasks, and ensuring a consistent experience for both candidates and internal business partners.
  • Seeking out new and creative ideas to proactively attract candidates and build talent networks and pipelines. This may include social and professional networking sites, resume mining, outreach efforts, career fairs, website postings, special recruiting events and other advertisements as needed.
  • Interacting with everyone throughout the Company to listen to ideas, learn about new ways of improving the employee experience, and championing change where needed. Partner with staff including HR Business Partners to implement key programs vital to process improvements.
  • Identifying and recommending people & culture approaches to management team including strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and organizational development issues.
  • Navigating and integrating technology is an important aspect of this role, as we are a software company and so many of our employees and recruits follow a 'technology first' approach.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Education and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university
  • A minimum of 7 years’ demonstrated experience (and evident interest) in start-up or small business human resources management- including talent management and culture creation.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and state labor laws.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate at all levels in the organization,
  • Outstanding organizational and project management abilities, excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.
  • High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Experience operating both as a team and under developing, autonomous direction.
