Part Time Medical Secretary
Seeking a Part Time Medical Secretary in Valhalla, NY. Position will be remote but we need somone local to the CT, NY, or NJ area as there will be training in Hawthorne, NY the first 2 weeks.
Schedule- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm
Pay- $17/hr
Medical Secretary needed for busy fast pace pediatric specialty practice in Valhalla, NY. Position can be fully remote, it will initially be in person for training purposes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling and confirming appointments, obtaining patient/insurance information, entering patient information into our patient EHR system, obtaining office pre authorization as necessary, submitting our reports to patients’ primary care physicians. Further, the successful applicant will provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Other duties may include heavy typing, coordination of medical transportation for patients, and filing.
One to two years’ experience in a medical office preferred. Must be pro-active, have the ability to multi-task, be extremely organized, detail oriented, extremely reliable, computer literate and have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
