Senior Financial Analyst 

Description

This position is responsible for supporting short and long term strategy development, analysis, and planning for the company which may include but not be limited to five-year business plans, alignment with budget and forecasts, capital / resource plans, functional / regional strategies. The Business Plan Analyst works with product line teams to provide administration and analysis to ensure the development of relevant and consistent business information, and financial, business and operational analysis.

  • Responsible for consolidating and support of the Business Plan by key stakeholder (Plant, Customer, Product Line, Region) as well as the analysis of Company profitability and improvement initiatives as it relates to the 5 Year Business Plan
  • Responsible for evaluation of new business opportunities and risks through scenario modeling and financial analysis  
  • Lead/support in the development and implementation of  Company strategy
  • Develop Business Plan with focus on Sales, Profit, Capital, and Resources
  • Perform special studies on Key Focus Plants/Projects
  • Prepare external presentation such as bank presentation support
  • Monitor and respond to key changes in the company’s business environment
  • Identify and steer measurements to improve Business Cases during quotation phases
  • Align Cross Product line and Functional strategies
  • Ensure alignment between Strategic Business Planning and Budgeting
  • Partner with the strategy team to investigate business opportunities along with key market drivers for business generation and profitability
  • Create and maintain financial models for these business opportunities, related value add / return on investment, and resource allocation
  • Derive insights and present the results with recommendations to senior leadership, to influence strategic decision making
  • Clearly document and explain changes in plan updates along with recommended actions to rebalance investment as needed to maintain targets and performance
  • Evaluate opportunities to optimize return on investment
  • Balance long-term strategic thinking with near-term execution skills
  • Distill complex data into meaningful stories that are understandable cross-functionally
  • Provide advice and counsel to product line team members on the actions to be taken to improve financial results, maximize opportunities, and risk management
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience required. 
  • Possess strong technology abilities, including Microsoft Excel and database applications.
  • Experience with automotive company preferred
  • Finance, operations, and business experience preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial statements and experience with financial projections and modeling
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment
  • Strategic and independent thinker
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with analytical & challenging mindset
  • Ability to link operational and business issues to financial results and strategy
  • Attention to detail and a hands-on proactive attitude
 
Education Requirement Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
