Summary of Position and Responsibilities:

  • Staff will provide administrative and clerical support to management and staff, which may include but not limited to: typing, record keeping maintenance(client charts), filing, data collection, billing, report preparation, closing/pulling charts, data entry and storage.
  • Staff will be responsible for insurance verification for all new clients, as well as monthly verification for existing clients.
  • Staff will be responsible for entering program claims into electronic billing system for payment (Medicaid, DCPP, etc).
  • Staff will run all billing, data, attendance reports for program and provide to Director daily.
  • Staff will input time and attendance records in time keeping system for staff and provide Director report for approval.
  • Staff will collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to fulfill the department's objectives, including active participation in team meetings, effectively communicates information and updates staff and provides support to team and colleagues, as directed.
  • Staff will assist clients and staff (over the phone or in person) by communicating in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Staff will assure there is an adequate supply of forms, folders, charts, etc.  When necessary staff will order and maintain office supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Excellent computer, phone, and customer service skills
  • Experience in an administrative role/medical office setting
  • Experience with medical billing and insurance verification
  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable under Agency's automobile insurance policy
