Office Coordinator/Executive Assistant 

About the Organization Our company was incorporated in 1984 within the State of North Carolina, and opened its doors for business in August of 1985. The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state.

Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12.  
Description

The position of Office Coordinator/Executive Assistant includes a vast variety of office-based tasks and responsibilities that resided at the Skill Creations Corporate Office in Goldsboro NC. The person in this position will be opening and closing the Corporate office on a daily basis. A typical day will also include various community errands, such as daily trips to the post office and sorting the mail upon return. Reception duties include vetting and directing phone calls, with knowledge of screening for telemarketing, scam, and unsolicited sales calls, answering the door as needed, and greeting/directing office visitors. There will also be daily financial duties to be completed that will require significant amounts of Excel spreadsheet work. The position hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am -5pm with an hour lunch (32 hours per week). Skill Creations is an EOE.

 
Position Requirements

Successful applicants will possess the following skill set:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training and/or college level course work preferred.
  • Knowledge of office systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment including copiers, fax machines, postage machine and computers
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Clean driving record to perform various errands and light shopping
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
