Description

Denver Christian is growing! Our action-packed, creation-rich Pre-K is looking for a Preschool Teacher to work with 4 and 5 year-olds. This position is for the 2021-2022 school year. Work days would be Monday/Wednesday/Thursday totaling approximately 20 hours per week.

Position Summary: We are looking for a dynamic indvidual that will use God's creation to help children learn about Jesus. Our Pre-K classes extend to the outdoors allowing God to use His world to teach us about Him, math, science, language  arts and fine arts.

Professional Expectations: In addition to the Employee Handbook and the Faculty Procedures Handbook, the Expectations of a Preschool Teacher include but are not limited to the following:

  • Passion for active learning and outdoor experiences
  • Team commitment
  • Desire to help young children develop a relationship with Jesus
  • Design lesson plans that reflect 4 year old's zest for learning using
    • High Scope Curriculum
    • Zoophonics
    • Handwiritng Without Tears
  • Arrange and maintain age appropriate classroom 

 

 

 
Position Requirements
  • ECE Teacher Qualified
  • CPR/First Aid & Standard Precautions certified
  • 2+ years experience in classroom setting
  • Personal faith in Jesus Christ with active church involvement
  • Must pass background checks
  • Attend 15 hours of training per year including eronling in PDIS
