Description

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will be the world's premier institution dedicated to the art and science of movies. More than a museum, this dynamic film center will offer unparalleled experiences and insights into movies and moviemaking.

 

As part of the Advancement team, Corporate Partnerships develops strong relationships with aligned companies across a range of industries to support and fund the museum's mission. This is accomplished through the development of innovative philanthropic and marketing partnerships as well our Corporate Membership program.

 

Description:

This externship will allow for exploration of non-profit, arts & culture, fundraising, and partnerships and the ability to learn more about roles and jobs that exist in these areas. You will have the opportunity observe different facets of Corporate Partnerships (prospecting, deck creation, pitching, and activation/deliverables) and shadow internal and external meetings as the museum ladders to its exciting fall opening.

 

This unpaid externship will take place virtually over the summer and has a flexible schedule.

 
Position Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • A desire to explore work in non-profit, arts & culture, fundraising, or partnerships
  • A passion for cinema and/or museums

 

The Academy’s Gold Rising program (formerly Academy Gold) is an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities for a nationwide pool of diverse talent. Externs will not be part of the Academy’s Gold Rising program formally but will have the opportunity to participate in some select programming such as select panels and Lunch & Learn sessions.
