Manufacturing Engineer 

Description
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for managing the launch of the Closure Systems products (Door Latches, Window Regulators and Door Modules)
  • Responsible for developing and installing equipment for new products (or upgrade to existing equipment).
  • Work closely with Product Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Operations on new project implementation.
  • Specify flexible equipment which meets all the customers’ requirements on regards to error proofing, safety and product specifications.
  • Ensure the effective introduction of new processes that meet all Health & Safety / Environmental regulations.
  • Contributes to define and maintains a common equipment and process supplier base throughout the division.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and suppliers to develop equipment and process based on the most cost effective technology.
  • Provide on time and accurate investment inputs for estimating product customer quotes and engineering changes.
  • Responsible for new process and equipment on site until successful validation (MQ Process) is completed and approved by Manufacturing Plant.
  • Responsible to develop PFMEA and PCP for new process and equipment.
  • Support corporate initiatives.
 
Position Requirements
  • 5 Years’ Experience in similar position
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)
  • Good communication skills, confident presentation technique.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and budgets.  
  • Must have the ability to develop and introduce change.  
  • Team Player.
  • Logical approach to Problem Solving (8D, Six Sigma, Shainin)
  • Willingness to travel world-wide as necessary.
  • An in depth knowledge of flow charts, failure modes & effects analysis, control plans, and statistical process control.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience on Automotive Industry
 
Education Requirement Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
