POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Human Resource Officer is responsible for developing and executing Human Resource strategy in support of the overall business initiatives and strategic direction of the organization. Specifically in the areas of benefit planning and administration, staff management, succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The CHRO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the Executive Management Team and Shareholders.

SUPERVISION: Directly responsible for leading the Human Resource Team and indirectly responsible for all employees within the organization.

REPORTS TO: Chief Administrative Officer

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and implement HR efforts to effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Functions as a strategic business advisor to the Executive Management Team regarding key organizational, management, and staff issues.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
  • Maintains policies and regulatory (EEO, benefit 5500 forms, etc.) compliance efforts to support the organization.
  • Manages all attorney client and malpractice claims with guidance to support the organization, seeking legal counsel if necessary.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Effective utilization of business analytics to gauge HR impact to organization.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits overall.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by the CAO.
 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
  • SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Extensive education and experience in general business, organizational operations, and Human Resources required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing, Repetitive motion.
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Occasional travel is required for this position and requires a valid driver’s license.
