At Blue, we discover pathways to realize your possibilities. Our Client Services Banker helps ensure members receive exceptional service while personal and business goals are supported. You work directly with consumer and business members to develop and implement client service strategies that will increase member banking relationships, through customized discussions connected to the member’s priorities, connecting the best solutions to support the member, and delivering an above and beyond experience through all communication channels. Additionally, support the team of Relationship Management Officers that are focused on improving the credit union’s market share, while sourcing new members and developing existing member relationships. This positon will also focus on:

  • Provides member assistance and troubleshooting with product installations via phone or on site. Prepares appropriate documentation and agreements relative to deposit, loans, credit cards, and cash management products and services in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and analyzes current and potential business relationships and recommends appropriate products and services by developing new opportunities by introducing new ideas/products/solutions to members seeking support and making outbound calls to existing members who could benefit from products and services.
  • Respond to client requests, seek resolution and escalate issues and account developments as needed, provide backup and administrative support to other Wealth Management departments as necessary.
  • Works with other departments to gain perspective relative to the Cash Management department, including eBanking, marketing, business banking, bank managers, and personal bankers.
  • Monitors and records ACH risk limits and Remote Deposit velocity limits in conjunction with eBanking.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services; seek new business and cross-selling opportunities of all bank products and services.
  • Provide high touch member service going above and beyond expectations. Proactively resolves member concerns while identifying needs and promoting business banking, cash management, treasury services and wealth products. Establish and maintain open communication with Relationship Management Officers and members to provide an enhanced experience. Provides exceptional support to new or existing members and assists internal and external members with service requests, inquiries of technical issues related to deposit and cash management products and services. Provides ongoing relationship servicing, training and support to current members relative to disputes, product enhancements, product recommendations and general account status.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act , the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
 
Position Requirements

Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A college degree. 7+ year's of experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

Other Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet. Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess a service orientation and be willing to sell products and services. Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously in an effective manner. Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.). Has the focus, persistence, positive outlook, and discipline to meet the personal demands of a sales/service role. Displays passion, commitment, and drive to deliver the best solutions that improve the financial circumstances of our members.
