Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Hands-On support of daily production readiness, troubleshooting production issues, optimize workbench layouts, point of use operations, and elimination of non-value-added waste. Develop and execute new and existing process flow design, perform motion and time studies, create new and revised work instruction’s and quality control procedures. Process and productivity improvement activities; evaluate, investigate, design, procure and implement assembly tooling, design assembly aids, jigs, and fixtures. Study and improve production area layouts, material flow/handling, implement best inventory management processes from raw material to finished goods. Root Cause problem analysis to resolve quality issues associated with production activities using engineering, design and troubleshooting experience. Develop skills and experience in continuous improvements philosophy and practices, 5S, Kaizen, PFMEA. Demonstrate clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting data, facts, and solutions to problems.   Position Requirements Education and/or Experience: Working towards a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. Preferred: SolidWorks Cad design, 3D design, Drawings and STEP files for 3D Printing Software Packages Uses: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Power Point, Word, Project, Visio Self-Starter, work with concepts, sketches and verbal inputs to effect an outcome conducive to getting the job at hand done.   An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
