Summary:

The Peak Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key member of the Peak Executive Team.  The Peak CIO must evaluate and propose strategic and technical directions for information, telecommunication and related technologies that assist in furthering the operational capabilities of Peak and its operating companies. The CIO creates a vision and roadmap for information technology; works closely with all senior executives to understand the organization and how to best position information technology to support their goals. The CIO will direct all technical, data, and information activities of the business in partnership with the internal teams and external vendors. This leader will ensure continuity of hardware and data systems, and software, throughout Peak and the Operating Company site locations through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination. This role works under the strategic direction of the Chief Executive Officer and will lead the daily management and deployment/execution of IT infrastructure and the IT team (internal or external) in support of the business.

Specific duties:

  • Develops an enterprise technology and information management strategy in collaboration with leadership across the Peak platform.
  • Clearly communicates the organizational priorities across the operating companies to ensure all needs are met across the organization.
  • Ensures that the IT team supports the technological needs of the company by preparing long and short-term goals and objectives related to Peak-wide strategic planning.
  • Oversees the planning, analysis, design, and implementation of selected system-wide and software applications (including the Vista ERP) by working with staff to determine requirements, achieve milestones, and deploy successful IT projects.
  • Ensures fiscal responsibility and accountability through coordination and preparation of the annual IT budget, authorizing the expenditure of funds, and maintaining overall budget control of the IT expenditures.
  • Provides leadership and develops a competent, productive, and effective staff, both directly and through delegation, by hiring, training, evaluating performance, and supervising all employees of the IT division.
  • Leads IT M&A due diligence and integration activities.
  • Develops solutions for complex business problems that require ingenuity and innovation.
  • Identifies best practices throughout the organization and communicate/implement these practices on an enterprise level.
  • Provides leadership direction and oversight in the review of new software and hardware acquisitions.
  • Develops and monitors all cybersecurity and compliance efforts regarding IT policies and procedures as well as IT operating and service standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with business colleagues and 3rd party outsourcing service; establish and maintain relationships with software vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field with an IT focus required.
  • Graduate degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 15+ years’ experience of increasing responsibility in IT-related experience, 5+ year management experience required.
  • Repeated success developing and deploying information technology roadmaps in support of Strategic Objectives of Peak and the Operating Companies.
  • Past success deploying and continuously improving Enterprise Resource Planning Systems(ERP) and integration with cloud-based platforms required.
  • A reputation for unquestionable ethics and integrity.
  • A leader who creates loyalty, trust and following. One who can energize people and teams, and make cross-functional cooperation happen. This individual must be highly respected by subordinates, peers, and superiors.
