Lead Manufacturing Engineer 

  • Business travel, both domestic and international, to support Inteva Products and Program  
  • Manage all Manufacturing Engineering (ME) activities for assigned Interiors project including but not limited to on-time delivery and within budget of equipment and tooling implementation, prototype and pre-production build coordination and submission of all manufacturing engineering Product Development Process (PDP) documentation
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering Program Development Team (PDT) to track ME specific timing and open issues
  • Develop and support process flow, layout and error-proofing/trace diagrams
  • Manufacturing Engineering representative and active participant in program PDT
  • On-site support of all launch activities including equipment installation and debug, run at rate, Zero Defect Launch (ZDL) and Start of  Production (SOP)
  • Manufacturing Engineering PDP representative responsible for meeting all manufacturing engineering specific deliverables for each PDP gate
  • Support all Manufacturing System Design (MSD) workshops
  • Support all manufacturing equipment specifications and Request for Quote (RFQ) development
  • Support all cost savings initiatives
Position Requirements


  • Excellent oral and written skill.
  • Proven track record of leadership capabilities to conduct workshops and drive lean manufacturing.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.  
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
  • Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding situation.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Travel, both domestic and international, to support Inteva Programs and Products


  • Work experience in automotive industry or industrial/manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Operations experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Bilingual/Spanish Speaking (not required but a plus)
