We are currently looking for an experienced Sr Quality Engineer. Job Purpose

The SQE is accountable to improve industrial processes and assess existing procedures and processes within our system, make improvement recommendations based on statistical data. The SQE is accountable to communicate quality requirements to plant personnel and supplier base. Ensure that the organization is taking a systems based approach to provide quality products and services. The SQE will be an active contributor to continuous improvement projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead as subject matter expert - performs described quality activities throughout the manufacturing plant and/or supplier facilities as necessary on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate and lead DFMEA and PFMEA processes through to completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure NPI tooling meets necessary quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing facility to ensure manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality requirements.
  • Work with customer specifications to determine product requirements; develop required test and control plans.
  • Develop and lead the PPAP process and associative documents through to customer submittal.
  • Perform in quality audits on a regular basis to satisfy IATF system requirements.

Lead efforts to improve supplier quality through process and system audits in accordance to IATF 16949

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience -

  • Four year degree in Engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems: IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015
  • 5 - 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Core knowledge in APQP process.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
