Eagle Harbor Solutions, a KGS company, is seeking a Sr. Azure Architect to support a dynamic and fast-paced Cloud Program for our government customer in the Denver, CO area.

Eagle Harbor Solutions is looking for an Azure architecture to lead the charge in strategy, design, and support for a large public sector client. This position is responsible for security, enterprise architecture, enterprise systems, service-oriented architectures, and interoperability. Solid experience deploying applications in the cloud, working in agile and DevOps methodologies within large scale application development environment. Demonstrated direct hands-on experience in architecting and growing flexible, scalable, and highly available systems.

The Sr. Azure Architect shall provide expertise in architecture and design of services and systems in the support of the various customer applications through the DOI and its security. This will include service specifications to architect high-performing enterprises, integration specifications, and its associated DevSecOps models

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience providing DevOps and/or DevSecOps and technical implementations.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in strong Azure architecture and design, deploying enterprise applications
  • Must have direct hands-on experience in architecting and building flexible, scalable, and highly-available cloud based solutions
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact and be involved with client negotiations and interfacing with senior management
  • Must have proven knowledge of Change and Configuration Management best practices
  • Must have experience leading and collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets
  • Experience with leading a team and setting up Azure environment with FISMA High
  • Passionate about identifying constraints/bottlenecks in engineering lifecycles and automating them
  • Focused on building a culture of collaboration, transparency, and automation
  • Accomplished with multiple toolsets in building fully automated CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automating database, code, and infrastructure deployments. 


Position Requirements
  • The right candidate will have a solid understanding of multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.  It is important to know when and how to use Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.), CI/CD tools (Jenkins etc.), Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic)
  • Able to design data, system, and component architectures; and design and share in simple language with executive leadership
  • Experienced with Agile methodologies especially TDD and Scrum; Kanban is a plus
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time.  The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.  The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
