The Technology / Customer Service Associate is responsible for managing service team members and overseeing the effectiveness of daily operations throughout the various advisor technology tools. Maintaining and assisting with the development and testing of platform initiatives by performing the essential duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include some or all of the following. Other additional duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee service team members and assign support responsibilities
  • Oversee case management and quality assurance
  • Manage and serve as the system administrator for the day-to-day functions of assigned technology products including, but not limited to, Unio run the bank activities, Annuity Order Entry (Firelight and Subscribe); LaserApp; DocuSign; NetX360; fundVISION; FMC, Albridge; and MoneyGuide Pro
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for platform initiatives
  • Process updates to the technology systems as needed for continued functionality
  • Make key decisions in troubleshooting and escalating issues with vendors, Unio/dataVISION team, and product providers
  • Coordinate with technology teams internally and externally to troubleshoot and propose solutions to technical support items related to operations technology products
  • Identify and propose opportunities to expand the offering of advisor support tools and services
  • Communicate with programs and registered representatives on regular basis to answer questions and inquiries regarding operations products
  • Contribute to system integration initiatives and projects
  • Conduct core testing during system project, enhancements and updates to ensure key functionality is not disrupted
  • Manage multiple projects and coordinates tasks concurrently
  • Assist with training as needed
  • Keeps consistent office hours in the San Diego home office, or remotely as defined by business needs

  • Other projects and duties may be assigned


Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school and a minimum of two years related industry experience and/or training (preferably with a Broker Dealer); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Writing skills and desktop publishing experience required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Previous experience with managing call center teams or financial services wealth management preferred.
  • Current Series 7 or 99 license preferred, but not required.
  • Quick problem solving, mult-tasking and prioritizing is essential.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and strong understanding of operational products.
  • Must also have excellent organizational skills, problem solving aptitude and have the ability to manage/keep strict deadlines is essential.
  • Must have the ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems of a complex nature in a timely manner.
  • Must have self-motivating skills and must be able to handle questions regarding various functions and utilize various software solutions to resolve.
