Share Email Opening Title LPN - DD  Category Nursing   Description CMCSB is seeking full-time LPNs to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Chosen candidates will provide LPN services to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside at CMCSB’s Intermediate Care Facilities in Keen Mountain, VA. Candidates will obtain and record individual’s vital signs; respond to medical emergencies; assist individuals with proper medication administration; assist in the coordination of workflow for the residential setting; assist with the integration/coordination of primary care services as needed; assist case managers in the coordination of services as needed; maintain complete and accurate records; provide education on developmental disabilities; provide personal care and assistance to individuals, to include bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding, as needed. Must be willing to travel to other CMCSB locations as directed by supervisor. Candidate must be flexible as schedule may vary.     Position Requirements Valid license Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Virginia. Experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Current valid driver's license and good driving record. Willingness and ability to travel to other locations. Ability to successfully complete necessary trainings. Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Good written and oral communication skills. Effective problem solving and decision making skills. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours. Ability to intervene in a crisis situation and manage physical behaviors. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
