Liability Coordinator 

Description
  • Determine consumer liability and review consumer’s financial responsibility with consumer.
  • Contact various insurance companies and Electronic Verification System for consumer benefit information and eligibility.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to answer questions/ educate regarding insurance eligibility information.
  • Monitor and report on bad debts and delinquent accounts according to the bad debt policy. Proceed with collection efforts and establish payment plans. Process clinical abatements if situation warrants.
  • Monitor, update, and communicate all consumer insurance changes
  • Send consumer statements on a monthly basis.
  • Adhere to seven recognized Sanctuary commitments which includes social responsibility, social learning, non-violence, open communication, democracy, emotional intelligence, growth and change.
 
Position Requirements
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Act 33, 34, and FBI Clearances
  • Knowledge of ICDM10 codes and procedure codes preferred
  • Post High School degree and prior work experience preferred
  • Trained in basic accounting procedures preferred
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as a computer, fax machine and telephone
  • Solid organizational skills and time-management skills
