POSITION SUMMARY: The Digital Marketing Specialist develops, implements, tracks and optimizes all digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. This includes social media, online marketing campaigns, and all websites. They also participate in supporting other projects and programs initiated and maintained through the marketing department.

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

 

SUPERVISES: N/A

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Manage all facets of social media including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, and Pinterest, as well as social media content calendar.
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns on social media.
  • Manage email contact database, and conduct email marketing campaigns.
  • Create and manage Google search and display advertising campaigns.
  • Supports Ecommerce as needed.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of products and services.
  • Stay current on social media trends and platforms.
  • Develop and manage website content, including eyewear catalog, blog and other content as needed.
  • Work with website developers on SEO, design updates and troubleshooting.
  • Report and summarize social media and digital efforts to director of marketing.
  • Edit/manipulate video for digital distribution.
  • Manage and create content for internal and external communication platforms for employees/patients.
 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with content management systems, primarily Wordpress, and ecommerce in a business setting.
  • Experience with social media for business.
  • Experience with CRM platform.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Ads and SEO is strongly preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or web design preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of digital marketing experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite web specific applications.

 

OTHER TASKS:

  • Design digital marketing campaigns aligned with business goals.
  • Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, social media, etc.)
  • Manage end-to-end digital projects.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Maintain our web presence to boost brand awareness.
  • Maintain a strong company voice through social media.
  • Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability.
  • Monitor KPIs.
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing developments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motion.
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Occasional travel is required for this position, and requires a valid driver’s license.

 

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:

The Digital Communications Specialist is required to attend educational seminars related to marketing and social media and to maintain an understanding of the following areas:

  • Online marketing and social media
  • Latest design trends
  • Eye care industry
