Director, Driver Talent Acquisition & Retention  



This position is responsible for the overall management and strategy of driver recruitment, planning, lead generation, and marketing and retention practices for the Company.


  • Meets or exceeds recruitment key performance indicators including, but not limited to number of drivers hired, lead generation, reductions in turnover and staff development. Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts.
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans.
  • Partners with Director, Corporate Talent Acquisition & Retention to develop, implement onboarding processes.
  • Manages the communication and training of the staffing process to ensure consistent application and interpretation of applicable staffing policies and procedures, laws and regulations.
  • Ensures adherence to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs.
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls etc.).
  • Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience.
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers or other events.
  • Create an informative and supportive environment for new entrants
  • Directs services and functions that support Talent Acquisition. This includes the core recruiting process.
  • Directs and manages support operations staff. This includes developing and managing policies, processes and practices to ensure that performance standards are met.
  • Develops and collaborates with others to develop performance standards. Measures against metrics. Takes corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with, influences and serves as a single point of contact for the employee engagement teams.
  • Recommends and takes responsibility for training and development among staff.
  • Ensures the integrity and timeliness of data entered into system by self, staff and project teams as designated.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
  • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or like discipline, or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years’ demonstrated experience and success in logistics operations, driver recruiting and retention practices.
  • Minimum five years or demonstrated ability to manage others and lead processes.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in recruiting systems
