Share Email Opening Title Production Engineer  Category Engineering   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Headquarters   Position Production Engineer   Description Summary/Objective The Engineer reviews technical documents in order to design and test controller configurations to meet customer’s needs.   Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Reviews technical documents and extracts necessary information. Read and interpret engineering data forms with an understanding of basic nomenclature such as horsepower, amps, voltage, etc. Translate static figures into workable data. Design AC/DC circuits in a variety of voltage and current ratings. Understand basic correlations between electrical values. Read and interpret standard engineering line diagrams, with an emphasis on following complete circuits across several drawing sheets. Tests software and controller configuration designs. Designs electrical circuits. Reviews technical drawings and EDFs (engineering data form) to ensure accuracy for all data. Maintains and improves design tools. Designs and tests additions to existing controllers.   Competencies Computer proficiency and efficiency with Microsoft office Suite, Salesforce, Automation, Contact Management Systems, and other online applications as necessary. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstration of excellent customer service skills. Ability to read wiring schematics. Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry. Strong electrical aptitude. Strong attention to detail and organization. Dependable and possesses reliable work ethic. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner. Ability to manage the workload and prioritize tasks. Ability to focus on the task at hand and ensure the highest degree of accuracy and completeness in the work. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to demonstrate clear and professional verbal and email communications with customers, vendors, and fellow employees. Ability to organize files, records, information, and tasks for best results. Ability to handle multiple projects and duties with tight deadlines. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.   Position Requirements Supervisory responsibilities N/A   Work environment The work environment includes primarily working indoors in an office space. Occasionally requires time spent in a warehouse setting.   Physical demands Includes prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and reach with hands and arms.
