Share Email Opening Title Labor-Helper  Position Yard Utility   Location Hubbard, OR   Territory   Supervising Manager   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Shift Days   Category Production   Description Summary / Objective This position will require to safely and efficiently build bundles of corrugated plastic pipe for transportation. The Labor-Helper will utilize packaging tools and equipment designated for this task. Essential Functions Perform daily pre and post check of equipment and tools for safe operation. Unload supply trucks using equipment and tools. Load trucks following bundling diagrams. Maneuver equipment and pipe safely within the yard. Operates forklift. Use small tools including staple and nail gun, skill saw, hammer, chop saw and weed eater. Competencies / Requirements Safety – Complies with all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards and practices identified and correcting conditions as needed. Listening – Pays attention, hears and understands the speaker, retaining the information for future use. Analytical – using a logical reasoning process to break down and work through a situation or problem to arrive at an outcome. Dependability - Punctual and fulfills work and time requirements by adhering to work schedule and complies with attendance and leave policies and plans accordingly for absences Work Environment Regular work schedules. However, overtime may be required if necessary. This position works primarily in a partially enclosed warehouse with temperatures affected by outside temperatures. Exposure to outside weather when moving material or finished product. Exposure will include all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. Proper Protective Protection Equipment (PPE) must always be worn.   Position Requirements Physical Demands This position is defined as Heavy. Work involves exerting up to 65 pounds of force frequently using any combination of body, hands, fingers, arms, legs, or feet to complete work. Lifting, walking and standing and sitting to a significant degree.
