Description

GENERAL:

The Fleet Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all drivers meet FMCSA driver compliance standards and provide driver feedback in the form or driver scorecards, newsletters, and training.  This position will also perform mock FMCSA audits at all Peak Utility Services Group operating companies and provide solutions for out of compliance items. This position requires 25% to 50% travel out of state to work with our operating companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Develop, maintain, and provide administration of DOT driver qualification files, drive MVR’s and various fleet safety programs.
  • Provide company-wide administration for the fleet GPS system including install project management, driver monitoring and work closely with supplier to develop solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and provide company-wide driver GPS scorecard program to drive safety performance.
  • Provide weekly reporting on driver performance and company-wide FMCSA safety performance. 
  • Conduct Mock FMCSA Inspections for operating companies and complete comprehensive report and action item list.
  • Work with various departments for continuous improvement of our fleet and driver safety programs.
  • On a regular basis travel to operating companies throughout the US to work with local resources on the continued improvement of fleet safety initiatives.
  • This position must ensure that all state and federal laws and regulations are followed and the development of fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies.
  • Coordinate/oversee development, enhancement of data systems and training requirements to meet DOT regulations.
  • Review/process on all DOT Inspections, citations, and violations, take appropriate action to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Advise on FMCSA and HAZMAT regulations as they pertain to fleet operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong FMCSA rules knowledge
  • Strong CSA program knowledge
  • Direct experience managing regulated driver files.
  • Practical experience of fleet GPS program administration
  • Problem solving skills, conflict resolution with an eye towards customer service while keeping company’s best interest in mind.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers.
  • Ability to work full time 40 or more hours per week with various start and stop times.
  • Effectively communicates via email, phone and in person with appropriate parties, keeping management, inspectors and customers apprised of progress, completion and or pertinent issues.

  • Strong customer service skills; ability to build relationships with employees and clients.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office. Must have intermediate level experience with MS Excel.
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy.
  • Ability to report daily to Peak Utility Services Group office location in Broomfield Colorado.

Education & Experience

  • AA or higher Degree preferred.
  • 2+ year fleet safety or fleet management experience.
  • Must have or willing to obtain NATMI CSS certification within 6 months of hire
  • Experience in utility industry a plus
