Overview

Peak has experienced tremendous growth over the past two years and anticipates that it will continue. As a result, executive leadership sees an opportunity for significant workflow improvement opportunities throughout the organization. This role of Business Process Manager will focus on improving operational effectiveness and efficiency across the entire organization. This will be a two-step process. Phase I which is expected to take 12 months will map existing processes, recommend process improvements and seek technology solutions to streamline processes. Phase II will be a continuous improvement cycle as the company continues to grow organically and through acquisitions. Leadership recognizes this is a significant transformative initiative and this individual will have their full support as well as appropriate resources.

This highly visible and newly created role will map, assess, design, and improve workflow process flow from front end field operations into the entire organization. In addition to workflow process improvement, it is expected that the outcome will be a include technology solutions especially regarding mobility linking to the ERP system.

This will be a highly customer focused, multi-faceted role requiring this individual to pivot from conducting Business Process Analysis work to managing an OTS software evaluation & implementation project. This role will report directly to the Peak CFO and will collaborate with the Director of IT and leaders within our 5 operating business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scope/map the workflow of field operations. Provide recommendations regarding best practices for workflow to be delivered and implemented. Extensive travel to operating companies and field staff will be required.
  • Process connections for the front-end (order intake) and the back-end (order processed/billed/collected) of the organization will also be mapped and optimized. The deliverable must improve pushing data and pulling data.
  • Design, maintain and implement effective & efficient business processes utilizing their subject matter expertise.
  • Ensure we deliver and sustain effective process consistency, excellence and adoption to support the Company's strategies and goals.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvement efforts and define & monitor end-to-end process metrics to identify performance issues and resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who understands the value of collaboration and the ability to communicate across departments. This individual will possess the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Business/Process Analysis (gathering requirements, interviewing internal business users, identifying job functions/roles & business processes, workflow and process engineering experience, etc.), Process Engineering, and end-to-end Project Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual technology architecture/functional design and workflow management.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate high level business goals into well-defined business requirements and make recommendations for approaches to meet objectives.
  • Expert communicator with the ability to translate business requirements into technical terms.
  • Expert documentation skills.
  • Comfortable being embedded in business units for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with construction and/or utilities sector would be helpful but not required.
  • ERP or CRM experience preferred; any Enterprise Application knowledge/experience, preferably Financial Apps (GL, AP/AR, etc).
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook, and willingness to take personal initiative.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of in an organization working collaboratively.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or equivalent.

 
Position Requirements

Experience:
Five (5+) plus years processing payroll is required
Two (2+) plus years certified payroll is required
Two (2+) plus years in a lead or supervisory role is required
Two (2+) plus years of presentation of findings/reports to executive groups is required
Two (2+) plus years of experience with regulatory compliance is required
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and be substituted on a year to year basis
