Position Summary:

The Information Systems Administrator is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all computer systems, data and voice communications activities on property. This position will exhibit excellence in cultivating the Edgewood Vision by executing both employee and guest engagement standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office Property Management System (OPERA), Property Interfaces, OPI Interfaces, HSIA, and Food and Beverage Point of Sales computer systems are available for property operations.
  • Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
  • Provide system support for PMS vendor to ensure that all PMS system requests are fulfilled.
  • Provide Systems Administration, including maintaining user/group accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting access problems and completion of on-site documentation.
  • Assist in compute end-point infrastructure management, performance monitoring, Operating Systems upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure effective support for other systems, including back office, sales and catering and human resource applications and any other at the property.
  • Provide system support services, including service outage diagnosis, troubleshooting, and restoration of service, virus protection management.  
  • Good knowledge and support for Desktop OS and applications including anti-virus, security patches.
  • Provide direct guest support and quality support to function rooms and conference services.
  • Assist in Office 365 and support email setup on desktop, mobile, and cloud applications.
  • Assist in the coordination of third-party vendors.
  • Assist at network support and security of Hotel network, and Active Directory maintenance.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Position requires an AA/AS degree in computer related field plus two years relevant experience; a BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
  • Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
  • Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
  • Requires experience with personal computer equipment. Must have advanced personal computer word processing, spreadsheet, database, DOS and Windows skills.
  • Prefer a working understanding of the Hotel and individual department operations, goals and objectives relating to Computer & Communications Services.
  • Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain all of the software applications and peripheral equipment used at the campus.
  • Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
