Description

The Vice President (VP) for the Business Solutions Division (BSD) leads, directs, and oversees assigned programs to ensure excellent operational performance, revenue enhancement, and profitability within Yorktown Systems Group’s (YSG) Business Solutions Division. Responsible for the leadership, development and organizational structure of the BSD which provides YSG’s Professional Services consisting of Administrative, Logistics, and Human Capital support solutions focused on creating a sustainable competitive advantage in cost, quality & service for our customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands the higher vision, mission, and intent for achieving corporate strategic and operational objectives, ensures the divisional vision is nested within that higher vision, and communicates clearly with all employees to ensure understanding.
  • Plans and monitors timelines and resources needed to achieve all divisional goals.
  • Leads, directs and oversees assigned programs and projects to meet or exceed customer expectations in performance and fiscal responsibility by achieving all goals and deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Provides leadership in the development of inter-team communications and cohesiveness, sustaining YSG’s corporate culture and development of staff during organizational growth.
  • Directs and develops program and project-level managers in goal setting by mentoring and effectively communicating a clear vision to maintain YSG’s reputation as a highly regarded provider of solutions for our customers.
  • Responsible for planning and executing all division operations effectively to grow revenue while enhancing profitability, productivity and performance throughout the division.
  • Works collaboratively with the Executives, Directors, and Managers to integrate corporate cross-divisional activities and functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Management, or BSD-relevant discipline required; Master’s degree preferred (not required).
  • Leadership experience and expertise in sourcing, supply management, logistics, human capital services, process engineering and/or quality control/quality assurance.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a management role providing administrative, logistics, supply chain, and/or human capital support services.
  • Experience developing strategies and collaborating within an executive leadership team.
  • Strong financial acumen, business management and executive communications skills.
  • Experience leading technical cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Experience in continuous improvement disciplines; Lean Six Sigma, 8020 a plus (not required).
  • Experience in technical proposal writing
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

 

Clearance – Clean crime and credit background check. Eligible for a DoD SECRET security clearance.

Location – Working remotely from YSG HQ is authorized.

Travel – Periodic travel will be required.
