Position Emergency Department Behavioral Health Specialist  
Description

The Emergency Department Substance Use Navigator provides outreach and engagement, intake, treatment coordination and direct referral services to persons with opiate addiction or mental health issues as well as families impacted. The person in this position will work closely within the Ohio Healthcare System in Franklin County to identify those in need of service. Expertise includes knowledge of treatment resources, referral and linkage procedure to those resources, plus appropriate clinical skills and treatment models such as Motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change.

 

 
Position Requirements

AA/BA required; Chemical dependency license or SUD in scope of practice required. Knowledge of mental illness and ability to perform mental status exams and successful use of substance abuse treatment methods. Expert in relationship-building with partner organizations.
