Candidate for this position will perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures, echocardiograms, carotid duplex, venous duplex, aortoiliac, arterial duplex for upper and lower extremities and renal artery ultrasound. Must have the ability to interpret and analyze exams, update and maintain protocols for the vascular department, and formulate preliminary reports for physicians. Will have an independent schedule and should be familiar with day-to-day operations. Candidate needs prior hands on teaching experience. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vascular accreditation.   Category Ultra Sound Technician   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Location Cardiology- NSC East Setauket   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Requirements Completion of an accredited Sonography program with RDCS/RCS certification and BLS certification is required A minimum of 5 years working experience required in a hospital or physician office with vascular experience. Ability to perform high quality ultrasounds. Must be familiar with EMR and able to complete preliminary reports. Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
