Description

Position Summary:

As the Guest Services Supervisor at Edgewood Tahoe, you assist in managing the operations of the Valet, Transportation, and Bell Departments. Provide leadership and direction in the most efficient and effective manner possible, while maintaining the company’s expected high-quality standards and adhering to the department standard operating procedures. The Guest Services Supervisor will address customer service needs and exhibit excellence in cultivating the guest experience and practice of the Edgewood vision. Essential Functions:

  • Customer Service
  • Understands and executes the guest experience model: guest expectations, service and engagement
    standards, training and guest experience
  • Perform daily inspections of guest services Forbes standards with team members
  • Respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • Escalate to Guest Services Manager for final resolution when needed
  • Establish a good rapport with the guests and Team Members
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Operation:

  • Enforce all department and Property policies and procedures.
  • Ensure your area of responsibility meets all company and compliance standards.
  • Ensure that all uniformed service staff are properly dressed, black running shoes, attendants are neat and clean with name tags always on during working hours (No Hoodies, all must be in proper Edgewood attire)
  • Ensuring the Lodge and Clubhouse Porte-cocheres are always clear of vehicles
  • Ensure that main entrance, lobby, and porte-cochere are clean and free of trash or other debris
  • Schedule teams based on business demands and needs with a focus on high guest engagement, while continuously watching overtime
  • Provides directions and supervision to all team members
  • Inspire the team by role modeling the expected behaviors
  • Handle counseling and recognition of the team members within the department, with the assistance of the Guest Services Manager
  • Ensure that all staff is fully informed and knowledgeable on hotel facilities and events
  • Assist in department meetings and attend property meetings.
  • Performs other duties as needed by the Guest Services Manager.
  • Always coach team members on Forbes Goals (making sure all employees practice guest name usage and other Forbes standard behavior)

Staffing/Training:

  • Administers ongoing training programs
  • Recruit new employees, Interview Process
  • Ensure that all standard operating procedures are followed
 
Position Requirements

Competencies:

  • Experience in valet, bell and transportation operations
  • Previous supervisory experience in the service industry preferred
  • CVPS knowledge preferred
  • MS Office products
  • Knowledge of time and attendance software

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Proficient in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous always
  • Previous experience in hospitality required
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Upbeat, positive and confident with a great deal of patience.
  • Ability in multitasking and time management.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues with customer-focused orientation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a proven clean driving record.
  • Must be able to drive all types of Vehicles and Edgewood Mercedes Sprinters.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Able to stand for long hours and transport guest luggage in and out of the car, lift objects up to 50 pounds, and run on occasion.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
