Executive function skills are built into the Barnstable curriculum for these students, ensuring the development of study, organizational, and time management skills.   Pay Range   Hours   Location Barnstable Academy   Description Barnstable Academy is looking to hire a full-time learning specialist for Summer/fall 2021.  Candidates should have a Special Education or School Psychologist background with experience in testing, report analysis, and creating, developing and implementing individualized student plans.  Candidate must have excellent technological skills including experience with implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tools for differentiation.  Candidate should have experience with students with SLD’s including dyslexia and dysgraphia,  executive functioning challenges and enrichment for students who learn at an accelerated pace.  Looking for a learning specialist who can successfully implement new systems and creative approaches successfully both school-wide and individually, including presenting on PD.  Applicants should have excellent communications skills and work well as part of a team. This position will involve significant hands on implementation of unique plans for diverse learners.  Candidate will oversee the Bergen County Special Services (BCSS) process as well as student’s IEP’s and ISP’s. Candidates should demonstrate strong pedagogical and clinical skills, confidence in decision making, strong organization skills and the ability to independently own this support services for students. This position will report to the Assistant Director.
