We seek a qualified business development specialist to extend our nationwide reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped construction business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal candidate will be able to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build strong customer relationships. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will help us achieve our company vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand EBCO's vision and direction for future diversification and growth to gain new clients and maintaining current and repeat business.
  • Develop a complete understanding of EBCO's methodology, approach, and expectations for client satisfaction.
  • Develops short-term and annual marketing plans that align with the strategic direction of the company.
  • Can express EBCO's capabilities with conviction and honesty and know that EBCO Teams are one hundred percent committed to maintaining cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Ensures that all activity fits within the agreed-upon marketing budget.
  • Uses traditional and non-traditional methods of attracting and providing value to potential customers.
  • Develops and maintains an accurate and current database of industry contacts for correspondence needed to communicate with current and potential clients.
  • Assists with the development of EBCO's website, marketing materials: letters, brochures, newsletters, etc., and updates them regularly.
  • Provides weekly, if not daily, updates to management with regards to contacts and progress made.
  • Extensive travel throughout the country for Client visits, job site visits, social functions. General follow through on EBCO business and business development.
  • Other duties that are required.



Position Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing preferred 
  • 5-7 years of combined experience in the construction industry and business development 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with sales techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Must be able to perform all duties with minimal supervision
