Job Title: Digital/Social Media Strategist

Department: Marketing Department

Reports to: Marketing Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Summary: Individuals in the job are responsible for assisting Tropical Financial Credit Union in the achievement of its purpose of guiding members successfully through the financial marketplace. This position will increase the acquisition of memberships and member awareness concerning Credit Union products and services. Supports in the development and distribution of marketing, educational content including written and videos, member and business development and sales materials. Assists in the production of advertising, marketing brochures, sales kits or other promotional materials. Assists with market research; analyze factors such as: pricing, distribution and product performance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Represents the Credit Union; promotes the Credit Union to employees and works with sponsors to maintain positive relationships.
    • Assists in generation and fulfillment of social media/content calendar in the form of writing buyers guides, educational blogs, video scripts, commercial content and ad development.
  • Create workflows that support the distribution of content
  • Responsible for seeking out & maintain SEO opportunities for Tropicalfcu.com
  • Perform content/SEO analysis of TFCU pages for continuous optimization
  • Write content for newly created web & landing pages
  • Responsible for seeking out & planning strategic opportunities to implement & share content with audience needs in mind
  • Prepare & plan content for campaign emails to garner engagement with membership
  • Work with PR team to manage TFCU’s local reputation & identify opportunities for growth
  • Prepare monthly reports to measure impact of work using analytics
  • Conduct competitive research to identify opportunities for digital efforts
  • Collaborate with product owners to guide the strategic direction of content based on membership needs
    • Supports the overall marketing function by assisting with planning and execution of marketing plans and events.
    • Maintains department calendar and inventory of marketing and sales promotional materials needed in support of SEG or PC visits.
    • Selects, distributes and re-orders advertising promotional specialty items, both on-going and event-related.
    • Work with vendors to ensure inventory of all marketing and printed materials for branches is available and in stock. Tracks inventory records of usage per branch.
    • Distributes promotional signage and materials to branches, supports in maintaining consistent marketing branding within the branches.
    • Coordinates the updating and distribution of Monthly Marketing Bulletin
    • Assists with Credit Union award entries.
    • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Compliance:

    • BSA Compliance - every employee is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions within TFCU will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department.
    • In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments.
    • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act.
    • Comply with all TFCU policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations.
    • Performs other duties as required with or without accommodation
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in communication field.
    • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
    • HubSpot certifications required
    • Google Analytics Certification required
    • Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
    • Comfortable in public speaking situations
    • Basic writing and proof writing skills.
    • Video production/editing background.
    • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or touch. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to focus.
