Purchasing Manager, Indirect Materials and Services (Regional Lead for Europe)

DESCRIPTION

  • Plan and execute all activities for IMSP (Indirect Materials and Services Purchasing) in the assigned region. Deliver annual KPI targets.
  • Hire, train, and continuously develop Buyers. Improve organizational competency to support global SCM strategies
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for all commodities (including but not limited to: Capital Equipment, IT, Travel, Professional Services, Facilities, Packaging, Logistics, MRO) in the assigned region.
  • Maintain global responsibility for 1-2 (TBD) commodities as assigned.
  • Identify and implement TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) improvement initiatives, deliver annual MPV goals
  • Support new launches; deliver 100% on-time/on-budget performance
  • Track and report IMSP performance as assigned
  • Serve as a focal point in the development and implementation of the global and regional IMSP processes and procedures; continuously improve process efficiency
  • Assist buyers in successful negotiations of contract agreements; personally lead critical negotiations
  • Manage supplier relationships and develop strategic supply base for all IMSP commodities
  • Manage internal customer relationships
  • Support general enterprise activities and other duties as assigned

 

 
Position Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Proven experience leading the team in a global environment
  • Significant expertise in the specialized field of Indirect Materials and Services Procurement
  • Advanced knowledge of industry best practices, cost drivers, and supply base
  • Significant expertise in legal contract negotiations and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on formal presentations
  • Effective interpersonal skills, experience working with diverse stakeholders in matrix organization
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical, negotiation, and technical skills
  • Demonstrated project management abilities
  • Understanding that the responsibilities may require extended and flexible hours and 5% travel

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance required
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Indirect Materials and Services Procurement
  • English proficiency 95% or higher
  • Additional languages preferred
