Bioinformatics Data Science Data Analytics Computer Science Computer Information Systems Software Engineering Information Systems Information Technology Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related majors are acceptable with at least one relevant relational database course using SQL programming language.   What are the objectives/goals of the position? The goal of the internship is to create a searchable database of downstream purification process information based on Structured Query Language (SQL) programming in SQL Server Management Studio.    What are the primary duties of this position?  Communication with stakeholders to understand database requirements and scope Drafting and formalizing the database design using an Entity-Relationship diagram (ERD)  Creating database objects and testing the database structure using Data Definition Language (DDL) Populating tables using Data Manipulation Language (DML) Creating business specific queries and views using Structured Query Language (SQL) statements.    Position Requirements Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+ Completion of at least one relevant relational database course using SQL programming language. Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server Management Studio, or other relevant database system.  Understanding of chromatography, protein purification, basic chemistry and biology, is a plus but not required.     Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
