LaForce is looking for a highly motivated individual with good communication skills to join our team! As an Architectural Sales Representative you will meet with architects to promote LaForce’s specification writing services through presentations. There is no prior experience necessary for this position as long as you have the willingness to learn and enjoy challenges. 

Major Responsibilities

  • Contact architects in regard to leads to discuss and promote LaForce specification writing services. 
  • Meet with architects and other interested parties to discuss needs of the project. 
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous pricing. 
  • Assist Specification Technicians. 
  • Assist estimating in maximizing benefit of specification.
  • Assist sales in maximizing benefit of specification. 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • LaForce will assist you in your application for apprenticeship as an Architectural Hardware Consultant and to attain your certification as a Construction Document Technician
  • Drug Screen, background, and driver’s license check
