Summary/Objective

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in assuring corporate compliance with relevant laws, regulations and client contractual obligations.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in client audits and periodic client-facing reports.
  • Assist with responses and tracking of all consumer complaints.
  • Assist with coordination of nationwide litigation defense.
  • Assist with maintaining compliant letter inventory.
  • Assist in drafting, organizing and distributing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge base with current trends and caselaw through industry resources.
  • Assist with keeping training materials current.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to FHC’s Information Security Policy.
  • Manage company administration of all credit bureau disputes.

Competency Requirements

  • Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to read and write critically.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with job tasks.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience with credit reporting, debt collection and legal processes beneficial.

Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

This is somewhat of a sedentary role, however, there will be walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time to meet with co-workers. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for files and computer printouts and require proper lifting technique. Most of the workday working on the computer. This work must be performed at our office.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is some flexibility in hours allowed. This position is typically 40 hours. Punctuality and Attendance is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of similar experience.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

May be required to pass federal background screening and potential security clearance.
