Description

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Personnel Management

  • Assists with training and evaluating of staff
  • Assists in assuring employees follow practices and policies and procedures of the company

Training and Safety

  • Knows and understands the Work Safety Rules of the Company and work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assists Manager with both training and safety procedures and ensures all employees receive training and follow safety procedures.
  • Assists with staff meetings and training meetings

Retail and Marina Operations

  • Is involved in all aspects of these functions, includes supervision, hands-on operations, inventories and opening/closing functions.

Park and Facility Maintenance

  • Frequently tours the park grounds
  • Monitors maintenance projects

Customer Relations

  • Maintain highest level of customer satisfaction in all aspects of the operations
  • Assists with surveys
  • Empowers staff to exceed the guests’ expectations whenever possible
  • Ensures every employee is polite, helpful and courteous to the customers
  • Resolves problems with customers

Community Service/MCP Programs

  • Assists with all community service efforts

Administration

  • Monitors costs and expenditures
  • Develops reports
  • Performs month-end functions
  • Develops schedules
  • Assists with budget development
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Minimum high school education
  • 2+ years college or sufficient education to perform essential job functions
  • 5+ years in marina/recreational related position and minimum of 2 years experience in managerial or supervisory work.
  • Familiar with common boating law and Dept. of Boating & Waterways regulations ? Strong decision making and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to give direction and problem-solve
  • The ability to use a computer including word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail functions
  • Understanding of budgets and accounting.
  • Working knowledge of wifi, cellular and radio systems.
  • Basic First Aid/CPR Certified
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions

Be a willing member of The Basecamp Hospitality team performing all duties and functions as assigned to the best of his/her ability
Personal Protective Equipment: The Boat House Supervisor use various tools and equipment on a daily basis. Footwear required shall be a work boot or a high quality athletic shoe with non-skid sole providing ankle support. No open toe sandals or flip flops will be allowed on the job. Protective guards shall be required for all appropriate occasions: including gloves, goggles, galoshes, masks, long pants, and long sleeve shirts according to the nature of the task. The Boat House Supervisor will be knowledgeable in the safety practices and standards set by the company, relative to the work environment he/she operates in. He/she will also make it a duty to assure that all co-workers are working with those same safety practices and standards.
