As an Associate Account Executive, you are responsible for driving sales initiatives into an assigned geographic territory targeting small businesses. You will own the full sales cycle from prospect to close using a consultative sales approach. Centered around our cultural norms, you will work in a fast-paced, innovative team environment where you are empowered to sell Ascentis solutions to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales quota and business targets. Our AAEs have a huge impact on the growth of our organization and their contribution creates a ripple effect that helps propel Ascentis forward in the marketplace.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

  • Building interest in the Ascentis HCM suite by asking questions to uncover current challenges/business goals that organizations has in the categories of Recruiting and Onboarding, Talent Management, HR & Benefits, Time and Attendance, and Payroll
  • Managing sales opportunities through account prospecting, lead qualification, opportunity management, forecasting, resource allocation, account strategy, and planning
  • Delivering corporate presentations and demonstrations via the web to mid and senior level business owners and executives
  • Participating in the development, presentation and sale of a complete value proposition primarily via telephone and web contact
  • Utilizing CRM (Salesforce) to track all pertinent information related to the opportunity and account and effectively manage territory
Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
  • Proven success in direct selling within SaaS or on-demand application software preferred
  • HCM sales experience is a plus but not a requirement
  • Ability to build rapport, establishing trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up
  • Self-motivated and you bring a work ethic that demonstrates a will to be successful
  • Possess a sense of natural curiosity and demonstrate an ability to learn quickly
  • Embrace and adapt to change in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Collaborative teammate with a positive and professional outlook to help push the organization forward
