FireSim XXI Operator

 

 

Summary:

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a highly qualified FireSim XXI Operator to support Fires Battle Lab (FBL) in performing Army and Joint directed experimentation, demonstrations, analysis and supporting Institutional training. The Fires Battle Lab (FBL) conducts experimentation to support AFC and FCoE research on the Army’s Campaign of Learning to identify promising Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery warfighting and organizational concepts, systems and munitions. The FBL will conduct a series of experiments to refine Fires and Air Defense warfighting organizations tactics, techniques and procedures as they relate to Army, Joint and coalition operations. This support will be performed on Fort Sill, OK.

 

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Shall maintain proficient administrator and operator level knowledge of FireSim XXI.
  • Shall integrate FireSim XXI into live, virtual, constructive and gaming environments with Army and Joint C4ISR programs of record and technology demonstrations. This includes troubleshooting the networks, simulation interoperabilities, and FireSim XXI/Extensible C4I System (ExCIS)// configurations and connections to C4ISR systems. This includes integration of Joint Embedded Message translation system configuration and use.
  • Shall provide networking expertise in support of using FireSim XXI with other computer systems, simulations, interface devices, live tactical devices, and command and control devices, as necessary to meet experiment, training, fielding, exercise, and/or demonstration requirements.
  • Shall provide Software Change Requests (SCRs) of FireSim XXI to the FireSim XXI Configuration Manager for further review and shall brief to the FireSim XXI Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Shall provide FireSim XXI technical expertise to exercises, experiments and demonstrations conducted or supported by Fires Battle Lab.
  • Shall develop, maintain and update a Program of Instruction (POI), instructional materials and present classroom instruction on the operations of FireSim XXI and ExCIS. in experiment, training, and demonstration environment.
  • Shall maintain and update user documentation on the use of FireSim XXI and ExCIS. in the experiment, training, and demonstrations environment.
  • Shall provide a final letter detailing support and actions taken.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Level III certified for FireSim XXI operations and certified for Extensible C4I Instrumentation Suite ExCIS operations.
  • Shall have demonstrated experience integrating FireSimXXI and Extensible C4I Instrumentation Suite (ExCIS) operations.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with FireSim XXI integrations into high-level architecture (HLA) model and simulation (M&S) environments.
  • 1-year experience in FireSim XXI data development/ implementation (scenarios, force structures, fires systems, sensor systems, ammunitions).
  • 1-year experience in FireSim XXI integrations with live tactical C4ISR systems, especially AFATDS, FBCB2, counterfire radars to support training.
  • 1-year experience with live training M&S integration processes.
  • 1-year experience in AFATDS operations, M&S networking, and usage of Linux Operating System.

 

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is Required
