At Blue, we discover pathways to realize your possibilities. Responsible for administration of the functions within the fraud area of Risk Management. This includes being primarily responsible for monitoring and response of account abuse, elderly/at-risk abuse, financial exploitation, as well as check, RDC, Money Mover fraud, etc. In addition the position will interface with law enforcement and management the response to subpoenas, search warrants, and other requests from law enforcement and legal entities. This position also focuses on:

  • Supporting Risk Management initiatives and back-up other key components within the department.
  • Bond and Insurance claims primarily related to fraud related matters. This includes: filing, tracking, and reporting to management.
  • Administration of fraud related functions within Risk. This includes but not limited to: monitoring for and response to general account abuse, response to elderly abuse and financial exploitation, and interfacing with law enforcement. In addition, this position will be responsible for the response to all other fraud when elevated to Risk from other departments, this includes: check, RDC, money mover/account-to-account transfers, member account take-over, loan fraud, etc.
  • Administration of and response to subpoenas, search warrants, and other written requests. Additional responsibilities include Counterfeit Currency processing.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Experience: A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time.

Other Skills: Good communication skills.

Compensation $15.58 - $23.38  
Bondability Employment at Blue Federal Credit Union is contingent upon successful bondability.
