We are currently seeking a motivated Site Civil Design Engineer for full time work in Symbiont’s fast paced yet informal work environment in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. Candidate will be responsible for site civil designs and site development storm water permitting, as well as refining and maintaining Symbiont’s civil design standards and procedures, including the application of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Candidate will be required to assist with municipal and private client civil design work, including developing utility (sewer, storm, water, plumbing) plan and profile drawings and related specifications.
Candidates must have a minimum of a B.S. in civil or environmental engineering; 5 years of experience in engineering consulting; a professional engineer license; and proficiency with Civil 3D software, preparing plans and specifications for bidding, and storm water modeling and permitting. Candidate must be able to effectively coordinate with a larger design team, self-perform work, and receive and provide feedback and mentoring. The ability to manage projects or perform other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, strong academic credentials, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent professional references and work examples.
