Description

General Summary:

Astronics Test Systems is looking for a motived IT professional to join our IT team.  The IT Tech provides day to day IT support to users and routine IT maintenance tasks, as well as assisting with IT projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, troubleshoot, and repair user PCs and laptops, including hardware, operating system, and software.
  • Create and manage standard user accounts and mailboxes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on printers and other IT related devices.
  • Manage user system backups and assist with server backups.
  • Manage basic user access controls (e.g. group membership).
  • Assist with other IT functions and projects, as needed.

Education/Experience:

Two years of IT related college program; or one year of IT related technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Install, configure, and support

Common computer hardware

  • MS Windows OSs
  • MS Office
  • IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox
  • Printers
  • Mobile devices

Create and manage

  • MS AD domain accounts and groups.
  • MS Exchange mailboxes and GLDs
     

General knowledge of

  • MS Windows Server OSs
  • NTFS
  • Network hardware
  • IP networking and related services
  • Network security
  • Helpful knowledge:
  • MS Azure cloud services
  • Common servers (email, web, FTP, etc.)
  • Scripting and programing languages
  • Linux
