Pay is $13- $14 per hour based on experience.  This is a part-time 1st shift position ( 25 hours per week)  Schedule: Monday - Friday (approximately 6:00am - 8:30 am & 2:00pm - 4:30 pm) What You Will Be Doing The driver safely transports the people we serve to & from their destinations and ensures the vehicles is in good working order before & after use. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs to the Transportation Coordinator immediately. Follow preplanned routes to ensure the efficiency of travel. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities between schools, work, and/or other activities. Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order following checklist before & after use. Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Follow safety rules as individuals are boarding and exiting vehicles. Ensure everyone has exited the vehicle. Pick up and drop off individuals at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules. Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort. Keep vehicle interiors clean for passengers. Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures. Make minor repairs to vehicles. Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, etc.   Position Requirements Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience transporting or driving large vehicles. State of Ohio driver’s license & insurable driving record. First Aid/CPR training & Defensive Driving training Required to pass a DOT medical examination Preferred Education and Experience 5-10 years of experience transporting or driving large vehicles.
