Jr. Inside Sales Representative

Description

As Inside Sales Support your primary role will be to assist with managing the sales operations process for specific federal accounts. This role will assist with coordinating and working with Federal Account Managers, vendors and customers to maintain ongoing business in the IT infrastructure services and product markets through direct sales with federally focused vendors. This position will partner and communicate with various internal teams (Engineering, Federal Contracts, Accounting, and Purchasing teams) to execute quote to ordering for federal customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with customer requests to identify opportunities for upsell and deal expansion
  • Prepare and manage the generation of opportunities and quotations within the CRM/quoting tool for identified customer request
  • Assist with data analysis of third-party renewals, research and organize data, and quote generation
  • Research manufacturer/distributor resource areas (websites/literature etc.) for best pricing, technical specification and compatibility
  • Determine product sourcing through evaluation of project timelines, product pricing/discounts and availability
  • Enter backend data including manufacturer part number, applicable pricing updates
  • Assist with entry of project specific data in preparation of order fulfillment
  • Works with internal departments to coordinate timely and accurate submission of fulfilling customer purchase order submissions ensuring federal related compliance.
  • Escalate (as required) and track time-critical orders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicates with customers, as needed, to ensure that all requests and open items have been satisfactorily addressed
  • Coordinate product delivery/tracking for customer and integration for all project related engagements and contract requirements.
  • Act as primary internal point of contact for our customers in absence of account managers
  • Meet weekly with assigned Account Managers to discuss activity, forecast and expectations within specific accounts and/or meet with other Directors for PGS development assignments
  • Work with internal operations team to resolve additional issues (customer satisfaction, RMA’s/Returns. etc) when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements
  • One year minimum federal sales experience required.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology products (networking, cloud, security, storage, IP communications, etc)
  • Preferred federal sales experience with Cisco, Dell/EMC, AWS, IBM.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office with focus on Excel, Deltek and SalesForce a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Flexibility in dealing with simultaneous and newly developed tasks
  • Ability to develop manage relationships, both internally and with customers
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team environment
