Environmental, Health and Safety Representative 

Description

Provide Environmental, Health, & Safety Culture Awareness for the Bluffton Operations.

Manage Environmental, Health, & Safety Federal and State of Indiana regulations/compliance for the Bluffton Operations.

Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated at the Bluffton Operations in compliance with Federal and State of  Indiana regulations.

Manage waste inspections, waste water discharge permit, manifest, recordkeeping, and training requirement for compliance with RCRA and State of Indiana regulations.

Manage and coordinate the ISO 14001-2015 Environmental Management System.

Complete all facility Environmental permits, reports, and regulatory records.

Manage Storm water discharge permit, conduct required inspections, coordinate storm water sampling, submit required reports, submit annual fees, and champion all compliance issues with state and local regulators.

Manage Air Permit requirements, inspections, reports, notification to State and Federal agencies, annual fees, exemptions and/or special terms, and conditions of Permit to install or Renewable Operating Permit to ensure compliance with federal and State of Indiana Air Emission regulations.

Coordinate all hazardous material, medical waste, special waste and hazards waste shipments, sign bill of ladings, manifests, and ensure compliance with 40 CFR Protection of Environment and 49 CFR for Department of Transportation regulations that apply to Bluffton Operations.

Coordinate and conduct required Environmental, Health, & Safety training for hourly and salaried personnel.

Lead monthly Plant Safety Review Board meetings and with weekly Safety meetings.

Track facilities performance against KPIs; develop and implement control measures when performance is not meeting expectations.

Assess and implement cost savings ideas for Environmental and Safety initiatives.

Perform required EHS facility inspections; assess for risks and address as needed.

 
Position Requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Strong oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in group situations.

Demonstrated knowledge of current environmental state of Indiana and federal laws and regulations.

Demonstrated knowledge of current Department of Transportation (49 CFR requirements) and provide detailed regulatory requirements as they apply to Inteva Products Bluffton Operations shipping papers and manifests.

Proficiency in reviewing SDS

Ability to develop and follow complex procedures, forms, and recordkeeping requirements.

PREFERRED:

Minimum 5 years of experience preferred.

OSHA 30 Hour Certificate preferred.

Certified Storm Water Operator certification preferred.

HAZWOPER training at the Technician or Incident commander level preferred.

RCRA training preferred.

Department of Transportation, Hazardous Material Transportation training preferred.

 
Education Requirement High School Diploma with equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree preferred.
