Wyandot BHN is seeking a dedicated VP of HR. The VP of HR will oversee the development and management of the workforce programs and policies and represents the agency in a variety of venues, serving as a subject matter expert; and ensures compliance with standards, protocols, and federal, state and local regulations.

We are looking for someone who will partner with the leadership team to deliver HR initiatives: talent management; training and development, onboarding, performance management, compensation, workforce planning, employee relations, benefits administration, and building an inclusive and diverse culture in alignment with our organization’s vision and values.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Oversight of the human resources department to effect optimal performance, interviews and selects team members, conducts performance evaluations, conducts meetings and ensures adherence to policies, practices, and protocols.Directs the recruitment and talent management function and ensures achievement of departmental goals.
  • Guides the recruitment and talent management function and ensures achievement of goals by providing oversight to the team.
  • Ensures new hires receive an exceptional HR onboarding experience by creating and implementing thorough processes.
  • Manages and presents various training workshops/programs with a focus on mid-level management training program enhancement.
  • Directs the performance management process by creating or enhancing the program to ensure appropriate and timely receipt of evaluations and pay salary adjustments for staff.
  • Leads the management of the organization’s benefits plans and programs. Provides oversight in the day-to-day administration of benefits.
  • Manages employee relations; partners with managers, solicits information, provides guidance/options, serves as witness in manager/employee meetings and ensures documentation is legally compliant. Consults with legal, as needed.
  • Ensures accuracy of policy library in compliance with applicable laws, and reflects Wyandot BHN’s mission, vision, values and operational practices.
  • Ensures optimal use and functionality of HRIS and other technology and systems.
  • Ensures effective management of recordkeeping and enhancement of HR operations.
 
Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field, Master’s degree a plus!.
  • SPHR or PHR and/or SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification, preferred.
  • Ten + years of human resources experience with some of those years working in the non-profit sector, preferred.
    • Three to five years’ experience in the top HR position in a company of 200 or more employees, optimal.
  • Possess working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies related to human resources and applicable to the organization.
  • Knowledgeable about EEO, HIPAA, OSHA, Wage & Hour, DOL, ERISA, etc.
  • Working knowledge of strategic planning, talent management, benefits administration, training, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience working with various human resources information systems and advanced skills using MS Office products, intermediate to advanced EXCEL skills a must.
  • Exemplifies excellent decision-making capabilities, using effective judgment, keeping business and operational practices, budgetary considerations, and ethical and legal obligations in mind.

Shift Days  
Hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm  
Pay Range $80k - $95k - Title and salary will be determined based on selected candidates skills and experience
