Description

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of business development and other projects to ensure a high standard of quality is met within budgetary and calendar guidelines. This position leads and manages projects to completion in conjunction with members of the leadership and executive teams. The new developments and projects include but are not limited to new and expanding programs and mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations. This position is also tasked with monitoring project progress, overseeing finance, ensuring project quality, making strategic decisions, communicating with and updating key stakeholders regularly, and meeting with contractors, clients, leaders, and project managers to report on project progress.

  • Facilitates meetings with key stakeholders before the establishment of a new development or project to determine feasibility, sustainability, resources necessary, and to assist in the creation of the initial timeline and budget.
  • Establishes formal timeline for new development or project upon approval and presents to leadership and executive teams as necessary in order to create roles and incremental deadlines for successful completion. Prepares and completes action plans, meets with project team members to resolve problems.
  • Provides oversight to project activities to assure accurate and timely work that meets the project(s) timeline and budget. Reviews finances of the new development or project throughout implementation to keep on track and communicates inconsistencies or outliers with leaders, vendors, or clients as necessary.
  • Acts as primary liaison with all new development or project stakeholders. Creates cross-functional program workflow with Program Directors, Administrators, and Managers as necessary. Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Manages any facility buildout and technology improvements with Facilities & IT Directors
  • Prepares KPI, metrics, reports, and presentations to update executive, leadership, and project teams as necessary or required. Reconciles project costs to budgets and tracking of deliverables to contracts.
  • Manages customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
  • Conducts post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Identifies and creates new opportunities or improvements to existing strategies in support of business planning objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
  • Manages projects through project management software to facilitate projects and report out on project status to Executive Sponsor and Project Teams.
  • Responds to VP of Business Development and project teams as requested and required with accurate and timely work.
  • Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in program services, behavioral health, medical, business, or related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in implementing and managing business, program & service project relationships.
  • Experience with Project Management type Systems – SmartSheet PM, Trello, PM.com
  • Experience with Health Information System protocol
  • Excellent computer skills –with the ability to learn new programs expeditiously.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, Word, and Outlook skills required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • MBA or related Master’s Degree
  • PMP certification
  • Considerable knowledge of IDD and behavioral health/clinical program services, reimbursement practices, fiscal modeling, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the legal and compliance aspects of health information systems and best practices of operations.
