Description

Bilingual Case Manager/Case Worker needed for full-time, temp to hire position in Camden County.

The Case Manager/Case Worker is responsible for assisting individuals and families experiencing financial hardships to return to, or to achieve for the first time, financial self-sufficiency. By using a trauma-informed approach, and by respecting the dignity of the human person, it is the responsibility of the Case Manager/Case Worker to empower clients by utilizing strength-based interviewing techniques, while assisting clients to resolve financial challenges. Further, the Case Manager/Case Worker will assist clients in developing the most appropriate whether data collection and by providing information about community resource counseling/education and the case management duties related to assigned clients.

NJ CSW with two years of work experience in a social services environment can substituted for this requirement. Knowledge of entitlement program regulations, federal, state and community resources and expertise in navigating these resources. Knowledge of trauma theory. Familiarity with the social issues impacting the poor of Southern New Jersey. Possess some knowledge of basic social services programs. Good verbal and writing skills. Be patient and compassionate and be able to communicate these qualities to clients. Be sensitive to the needs of ethnically, culturally, and economically diverse populations. Possess good de-escalation and negotiation skills. Be able to work well in a quick paced and dynamic environment. Have good reasoning and decision-making skills.

 
Position Requirements

Bilingual (English/Spanish). Excellent oral communication skills required. Writing skills necessary to accurately document client contacts. Basic command of Office Suite products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to utilize database to track client interactions and produce monthly reports. Ability to navigate through a shared network drive.
